I’ve been into the ERP field for over 10 years now. I’ve started out working with Oracle eBS, followed by some brief experience with SAP R3 and then 5 years ago I finally get to work on an IFS Apps 8 implementation as an internal consultant for a company in the automotive business.
Working with IFS solutions was like love at first sight. Compared with the previous ERPs I’ve been working with, IFS was far more intuitive and easier to use and understand. Users could be trained fairly quickly, and they would normally enjoy use the IFS system on a daily basis after GO Live.
In the summer of 2021, I joined BearingPoint Romania as an IFS Business Advisor, helping to build the near-shore IFS competency center. In the 1st half a year with BearingPoint we managed to bring the count of IFS specialized employees from 0 to 10 in BearingPoint Romania.
There is so much synergy between BearingPoint and IFS that eventually they launched in a joint venture together.
For me, being part of this IFS/BearingPoint joint venture is like a door opened towards more growth. Being part of the joint venture means access to interesting projects, learning and using latest IFS technologies (IFS Cloud).
So, for me it’s an ideal place to be as it provides a meaningful career perspective.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
